1 And these are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one to his city,বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদ্নিত্‌সর যাদের বন্দী করেছিলেন, তারা জেরুশালেম এবং যিহূদায় য়ে যার নিজের নগরে ফিরে গেল|

2 who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Saraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:এরা সকলে সরুব্বাবিল, য়েশূয, নহিমিয়, সরায়, রিযেলায়, মর্দখয়, বিল্শন, মিস্পর, বিগ্রয়, রহূম ও বানাদের সঙ্গে প্রত্যাবর্তন করল| যারা ইস্রায়েলে ফিরেছিল তাদের তালিকাটি নিম্নরূপ:

43 The Nethinim: the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabbaoth,মন্দিরের সেবা-দাসদের উত্তরপুরুষের মধ্যে ছিলেন:সীহ, হসূফা ও টব্বায়োতের উত্তরপুরুষরা,

44 the children of Keros, the children of Siaha, the children of Padon,কেরোস, সীয ও পাদোনের সন্তানরা,

45 the children of Lebanah, the children of Hagabah, the children of Akkub,লবানা, হগাব ও অক্কূবের সন্তানরা,

46 the children of Hagab, the children of Shamlai, the children of Hanan,হাগব, শল্ময ও হাননের সন্তানরা,

47 the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar, the children of Reaiah,গিদ্দেল, গহর ও রায়ার সন্তানরা,

48 the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda, the children of Gazzam,রত্‌সীন, নকোদর ও গসমের সন্তানরা,

49 the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah, the children of Besai,উষ, পাসেহ ও বেষযের সন্তানরা,

50 the children of Asnah, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephusim,অস্না, মিযূনীম ও নফূষীমের সন্তানরা,

51 the children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,বক্বূক, হকূফার ও হর্হূরের সন্তানরা,

52 the children of Bazluth, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,বসলূত, মহীদা ও হর্শার সন্তানরা,

53 the children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Thamah,বর্কোস, সীষরা ও তেমহের সন্তানরা,

54 the children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.নত্‌সীহ ও হটীফার সন্তানরা|

55 The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Peruda,শলোমনের ভৃত্যদের উত্তরপুরুষরা ছিল:সোটয়, হস্সোফেরত ও পরূদা |

56 the children of Jaalah, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,যালা, দর্কোন ও গিদ্দেল,

57 the children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth-Hazzebaim, the children of Ami.শফটিয, হটীল, পোখেরত্‌-হত্‌সবাযীমেরএবং আমীর সন্তানগণ|

58 All the Nethinim and the children of Solomon's servants, three hundred and ninety-two.মন্দিরের সেবা-দাসরা এবংশলোমনের ভৃত্যদের উত্তরপুরুষরা 392

59 And these are they that went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub-Addan, Immer; but they could not shew their fathers' house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.তেল্-মেলহ, তেল হর্শা, করূব, অদ্দন ও ইম্মের নগর থেকে জেরুশালেমে এসেছিল নিম্নলিখিত ব্যক্তিরা, কিন্তু তারা ইস্রায়েলের পরিবারবর্গের পরিবার ছিল কিনা তা প্রমাণ করতে পারল না|

60 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobijah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred and fifty-two.দলায়, টোবিয় ও নকোদের উত্তরপুরুষ 652

61 And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.হবায়, হক্কোস ও বর্সিল্লয় যাজক পরিবারের উত্তরপুরুষ| (যদি কোন পুরুষ গিলিয়দের বর্সিল্লয় কন্যাকে বিয়ে করত, তাহলে সেই পুরুষটিকে বলা হত বর্সিল্লয়ের উত্তরপুরুষ|)

62 These sought their genealogical register, but they were not found; therefore were they, as polluted, removed from the priesthood.এরা সকলেই তাদের পরিবারের ইতিহাস স্থাপন করবার চেষ্টা করল|

63 And the Tirshatha said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.য়েহেতু যাজক তালিকায় এদের পূর্বপুরুষদের নামোল্লেখ ছিল না, সেহেতু তাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা সত্যিই যাজক ছিলেন কিনা তা তারা প্রমাণ করতে পারল না| তাই তারাও যাজক হিসেবে কাজ করবার অনুমতি পেল না| রাজ্যপাল তাদের আদেশ দিলেন, যতক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত না এক জন যাজক ঊরীম এবং তুম্মীম দ্বারা ঈশ্বরের সিদ্ধান্ত না জানাতে পারে ততক্ষণ তারা য়েন পবিত্র খাদ্য গ্রহণ না করে|

64 The whole congregation together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,যারা ফিরে এল তাদের মধ্যে 42,360 জন ব্যক্তি ছিল|

65 besides their servants and their maids, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; and they had two hundred singing men and singing women.এছাড়াও তাদের সঙ্গে ছিল 7,337 জন পুরুষ ও নারী ভৃত্য, 200 জন গায়ক ও গাযিকা|

66 Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six; their mules two hundred and forty-five;তাদের 73 6টি ঘোড়া, 245 টি খচচর,

67 their camels four hundred and thirty-five; the asses six thousand seven hundred and twenty.435 টি উট ও 6,720 টি গাধা ছিল|

68 And some of the chief fathers, when they came to the house of Jehovah which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in its place.তারা যখন জেরুশালেমে প্রভুর মন্দিরে এসে পৌঁছল তখন পরিবারের কর্তারা, প্রভুর মন্দির নির্মাণের জন্য উপহারগুলি দান করলেন|

69 They gave after their ability to the treasure of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests' coats.এই উপহারের মধ্যে ছিল 1,100 পাউণ্ড সোনা, 3 টন রূপো ও যাজকদের পরিবারের জন্য 100 টি অঙ্গরক্ষক বস্ত্র| আগে যেখানে প্রভুর মন্দিরটি ছিল সেই খানেই তারা মন্দিরটি নির্মাণ করবে|

70 And the priests, and the Levites, and [some] of the people, and the singers, and the doorkeepers, and the Nethinim dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.এই কাজের জন্য যাজকগণ, লেবীয় ও অন্যান্য ব্যক্তিরা জেরুশালেমের কাছাকাছি অঞ্চলে বসতি স্থাপন করল| এই দলের মধ্যে মন্দিরের দ্বাররক্ষী, গায়কবর্গ, ও সেবাদাসরা ছিল| ইস্রায়েলের অন্যান্য ব্যক্তিরা তাদের নিজ নিজ শহরে বাসা বাঁধলো|
