নদীর সমস্ত মাছ মারা গেল এবং নদীর জলে দুর্গন্ধ ছড়াতে শুরু করল| ফলে মিশরীয়রা আর সেই নদীর জল পান করতে পারল না| মিশরের সমস্ত জলাধারের জলই রক্তে পরিণত হল|

And the fish	וְהַדָּגָ֨ה	wĕhaddāgâ	veh-ha-da-ɡA
that	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
was in the river	בַּיְאֹ֥ר	bayʾōr	bai-ORE
died;	מֵ֙תָה֙	mētāh	MAY-TA
and the river	וַיִּבְאַ֣שׁ	wayyibʾaš	va-yeev-ASH
stank,	הַיְאֹ֔ר	hayʾōr	hai-ORE
and the Egyptians	וְלֹֽא	wĕlōʾ	veh-LOH
could	יָכְל֣וּ	yoklû	yoke-LOO
not	מִצְרַ֔יִם	miṣrayim	meets-RA-yeem
drink	לִשְׁתּ֥וֹת	lištôt	leesh-TOTE
of the water	מַ֖יִם	mayim	MA-yeem
of	מִן	min	meen
the river;	הַיְאֹ֑ר	hayʾōr	hai-ORE
was there and	וַיְהִ֥י	wayhî	vai-HEE
blood	הַדָּ֖ם	haddām	ha-DAHM
throughout all	בְּכָל	bĕkāl	beh-HAHL
the land	אֶ֥רֶץ	ʾereṣ	EH-rets
of Egypt.	מִצְרָֽיִם׃	miṣrāyim	meets-RA-yeem
