শমূয়েল প্রভুর পবিত্র মন্দিরে শুয়ে ছিল| সেখানেই ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র সিন্দুক ছিল| প্রভুর প্রদীপ তখনও জ্বলছিল|

And ere	וְנֵ֤ר	wĕnēr	veh-NARE
the lamp	אֱלֹהִים֙	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
of God	טֶ֣רֶם	ṭerem	TEH-rem
out went	יִכְבֶּ֔ה	yikbe	yeek-BEH
in the temple	וּשְׁמוּאֵ֖ל	ûšĕmûʾēl	oo-sheh-moo-ALE
of the Lord,	שֹׁכֵ֑ב	šōkēb	shoh-HAVE
where	בְּהֵיכַ֣ל	bĕhêkal	beh-hay-HAHL
	יְהוָ֔ה	yĕhwâ	yeh-VA
the ark	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
of God	שָׁ֖ם	šām	shahm
Samuel and was,	אֲר֥וֹן	ʾărôn	uh-RONE
was laid down	אֱלֹהִֽים׃	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
