শল্লুম ছিলেন কোরির পুত্র, কোরি ইবীযাসফের পুত্র, ইবীযাসফ কোরহের পুত্র ছিলেন| শল্লুম এবং তাঁর ভাইরা ছিলেন কোরহ পরিবারের সদস্য এবং তাঁদের পূর্বপুরুষদের মতোই তাঁরাও পবিত্র তাঁবুর দরজায পাহারা দিতেন|
