Acts 23 in Tamil

1 பவுல் ஆலோசனை சங்கத்தாரை உற்றுப்பார்த்து: சகோதரரே இந்நாள் வரைக்கும் எல்லா விஷயங்களிலும் நான் நல்மனச்சாட்சியோடே தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக நடந்துவந்தேன் என்று சொன்னான். And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

2 அப்பொழுது பிரதான ஆசாரியனாகிய அனனியா அவனுக்குச் சமீபமாய் நின்றவர்களை நோக்கி: இவன் வாயில் அடியுங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான். And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.

3 அப்பொழுது பவுல் அவனைப்பர்த்து: வெள்ளையடிக்கப்பட்ட சுவரே, தேவன் உம்மை அடிப்பார்; நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி என்னை நியாயம் விசாரிக்கிறவராய் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிற நீர் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் என்னை அடிக்கச் சொல்லலாமா என்றான். Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?

4 சமீபத்திலே நின்றவர்கள்: தேவனுடைய பிரதான ஆசாரியரை வைகிறாயா என்றார்கள். And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?

5 அதற்குப் பவுல்: சகோதரரே இவர் பிரதான ஆசாரியரென்று எனக்குத் தெரியாது; உன் ஜனத்தின் அதிபதியைத் தீது சொல்லாயாக என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே என்றான். Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

6 பின்பு அவர்களில், சதுசேயர் ஒருபங்கும் பரிசேயர் ஒருபங்குமாயிருக்கிறார்களென்று பவுல் அறிந்து: சகோதரரே, நான் பரிசேயனுடைய மகனுமாயிருக்கிறேன் என்று சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னான். But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

7 அவன் இப்படிச் சொன்னபோது, பரிசேயருக்கும் சதுசேயருக்கும் வாக்குவாதமுண்டாயிறறு: கூட்டம் இரண்டாகப் பிரிந்தது. And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.

8 என்னத்தினாலென்றால் சதுசேயர் உயிர்த்தெழுதல் இல்லையென்றும், தேவதூதனும் ஆவியும் இல்லையென்றும் சொல்லுகிறார்கள். பரிசேயரோ அவ்விரண்டும் உண்டென்று ஒப்புக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள். For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

9 ஆகையால் மிகுந்த கூக்குரல் உண்டாயிற்று. பரிசேய சமயத்தாரான வேதபாரகரில் சிலர் எழுந்து: இந்த மனுஷடத்தில் ஒரு பொல்லாங்கையும் காணோம்; ஒரு ஆவி அல்லது ஒரு தேவதூதன் இவனுடனே பேசினதுண்டானால், நாம் தேவனுடனே போர்செய்வது தகாது என்று வாதாடினார்கள். And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.

10 மிகுந்த கலகம் உண்டானபோது, பவுல் அவர்களால் பீறுண்டுபோவானென்று சேனாபதி பயந்து, போர்ச்சேவகர் போய், அவனை அவர்கள் நடுவிலிருந்து இழுத்துக் கோட்டைக்குக் கொண்டுபோகும்படி கட்டளையிட்டான். And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.

11 அன்று இராத்திரியிலே கர்த்தர் பவுலின் அருகே நின்று: பவுலே, திடன்கொள்; நீ என்னைக்குறித்து எருசலேமில் சாட்சிகொடுத்ததுபோல ரோமாவிலும் சாட்சிகொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றார். And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

12 விடியற்காலமானபோது, யூதரில் சிலர் ஒருமித்து, தாங்கள் பவுலைக் கொலைசெய்யுமளவும் புசிப்பதுமில்லை குடிப்பதுமில்லையென்று சபதம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள். And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

13 இப்படிக் கட்டுப்பாடு பண்ணிக்கொண்டவர்கள் நாற்பதுபேருக்கு அதிகமாயிருந்தார்கள். And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.

14 அவர்கள் பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களிடத்திலும் மூப்பர்களிடத்திலும் போய்: நாங்கள் பவுலைக் கொலைசெய்யுமளவும் ஒன்றும் புசிப்பதில்லையென்று உறுதியான சபதம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டோம். And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.

15 ஆனபடியினால் நீங்கள் ஆலோசனை சங்கத்தாரோடே கூடப்போய், அவனுடைய காரியத்தை அதிக திட்டமாய் விசாரிக்க மனதுள்ளவர்கள்போலச் சேனாபதிக்குக் காண்பித்து, அவர் நாளைக்கு அவனை உங்களிடத்தில் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுவரும்படி அவரிடத்தில் கேட்பீர்களாக. அவன் கிட்டவருகிறதற்குள்ளே நாங்கள் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்ய ஆயத்தமாயிருப்போம் என்றார்கள். Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.

16 இந்தச் சர்ப்பனையைப் பவுலினுடைய சகோதரியின் குமாரன் கேள்விப்பட்டு, கோட்டைக்குள்ளே போய், பவுலுக்கு அறிவித்தான். And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.

17 அப்பொழுது பவுல் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதிகளில் ஒருவனை அழைத்து, இந்த வாலிபனைச் சேனாபதியினிடத்திற்குக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோம்; அவரிடத்தில் இவன் அறிவிக்கவேண்டிய ஒரு காரியமுண்டு என்றான். Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.

18 அந்தப்படியே அவன் இவனைச் சேனாபதியினிடத்திற்குக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற பவுல் என்னை அழைத்து, உமக்கொரு காரியத்தைச் சொல்லவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிற இந்த வாலிபனை உம்மிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோகும்படி என்னைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டான் என்றான். So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.

19 அப்பொழுது சேனாபதி அவனுடைய கையைப் பிடித்துத் தனியே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்: நீ என்னிடத்தில் அறிவிக்கவேண்டிய காரியம் என்னவென்று கேட்டான். Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me?

20 அதற்கு அவன்: யூதர்கள் பவுலின் காரியத்தை அதிக திட்டமாய் விசாரிக்கமனதுள்ளவர்கள்போல, நீர் நாளைக்கு அவனை ஆலோசனை சங்கத்தாரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரும்படி உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ள உடன்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.

21 நீர் அவர்களுக்குச் சம்மதிக்கவேண்டாம்; அவர்களில் நாற்பதுபேர்க்கு அதிகமானவர்கள் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்யுமளவும் தாங்கள் புசிப்பதுமில்லை குடிப்பதுமில்லையென்று சபதம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டு, அவனுக்குப் பதிவிருந்து, உம்முடைய உத்தரவுக்காக இப்பொழுது காத்துக்கொண்டு ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிறார்கள் என்றான். But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.

22 அப்பொழுது சேனாபதி: நீ இவைகளை எனக்கு அறிவித்தாக ஒருவருக்குஞ் சொல்லாதே என்று கட்டளையிட்டு, வாலிபனை அனுப்பிவிட்டான். So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.

23 பின்பு அவன் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதிகளில் இரண்டுபேரை அழைத்து, செசரியாபட்டணத்திற்குப் போகும்படி இருநூறு காலாட்களையும், எழுபது குதிரைவீரரையும், இருநூறு ஈட்டிக்காரரையும், இராத்திரியில் மூன்றாம்மணி வேளையிலே, ஆயத்தம்பண்ணுங்களென்றும்; And he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;

24 பவுலை ஏற்றி, தேசாதிபதியாகிய பேலிக்ஸிடத்திற்குப் பத்திரமாய்க் கொண்டுபோகும்படிக்குக் குதிரைகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்களென்றும் சொன்னதுமன்றி, And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.

25 ஒரு நிருபத்தையும் எழுதினான்; அதின் விவரமாவது: And he wrote a letter after this manner:

26 கனம்பொருந்திய தேசாதிபதியாகிய பேலிக்ஸ் என்பவருக்குக் கிலவுதியு லீசியா வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லி அறிவிக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்: Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting.

27 இந்த மனுஷனை யூதர் பிடித்துக்கொலைசெய்யப்போகிற சமயத்தில், நான் போர்ச்சேவகரோடே கூடப்போய், இவன் ரோமனென்று அறிந்து, இவனை விடுவித்தேன். This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.

28 அவர்கள் இவன்மேல் சாட்டின குற்றத்தை நான் அறியவேண்டுமென்று இவனை அவர்கள் ஆலோசனை சங்கத்துக்குமுன் கொண்டுபோனேன். And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council:

29 இவன் அவர்களுடைய வேதத்திற்கடுத்த விஷயங்களைக்குறித்துக் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்பட்டவனென்று விளங்கினதேயல்லாமல், மரணத்துக்காவது விலங்குக்காவது ஏற்ற குற்றம் யாதொன்றும் இவனிடத்தில் இல்லையென்று கண்டறிந்தேன். Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds.

30 யூதர்கள் இவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சர்ப்பனையான யோசனை செய்கிறார்களென்று எனக்குத் தெரியவந்தபோது, உடனே இவனை உம்மிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பினேன்; குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகிறவர்களும் இவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிற காரியங்களை உமக்கு முன்பாக வந்து சொல்லும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டேன். சுகமாயிருப்பீராக, என்றெழுதினான். And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. Farewell.

31 போர்ச்சேவகர் தங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, பவுலைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, இராத்திரியிலே அந்திப்பத்திரி ஊருக்குப் போய், Then the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to Antipatris.

32 மறுநாளில் குதிரைவீரரை அவனுடனேகூடப் போகும்படி அனுப்பிவிட்டு, தாங்கள் கோட்டைக்குத் திரும்பினார்கள். On the morrow they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the castle:

33 அவர்கள் செசரியாபட்டணத்தில் சேர்ந்து, நிருபத்தைத் தேசாதிபதியினிடத்தில் கொடுத்து, பவுலையும் அவன்முன்பாக நிறுத்தினார்கள், Who, when they came to Caesarea and delivered the epistle to the governor, presented Paul also before him.

34 தேசாதிபதி அதை வாசித்து: எந்த நாட்டானென்று கேட்டு, சிலிசியா நாட்டானென்று அறிந்தபோது: And when the governor had read the letter, he asked of what province he was. And when he understood that he was of Cilicia;

35 உன்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகிறவர்களும் வந்திருக்கும்போது உன் காரியத்தைத் திட்டமாய்க் கேட்பேனென்று சொல்லி, ஏரோதின் அரமனையிலே அவனைக் காவல்பண்ணும்படி கட்டளையிட்டான். I will hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.

1 Pavul aalosanai sangaththaarai uttaுppaarththu: sakothararae innaal varaikkum ellaa vishayangalilum naan nalmanachchaாtchiyotae thaevanukkumunpaaka nadanthuvanthaen entu sonnaan. And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

2 Appoluthu pirathaana aasaariyanaakiya ananiyaa avanukkuch sameepamaay nintavarkalai Nnokki: ivan vaayil atiyungal entu kattalaiyittan. And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.

3 Appoluthu pavul avanaipparththu: vellaiyatikkappatta suvarae, Dhevan ummai atippaar; niyaayappiramaanaththinpati ennai niyaayam visaarikkiravaraay utkaarnthirukkira neer niyaayappiramaanaththirku virothamaay ennai atikkach sollalaamaa entan. Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?

4 Sameepaththilae nintavarkal: thaevanutaiya pirathaana aasaariyarai vaikiraayaa entarkal. And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?

5 Atharkup pavul: sakothararae ivar pirathaana aasaariyarentu enakkuth theriyaathu; un janaththin athipathiyaith theethu sollaayaaka entu eluthiyirukkirathae entan. Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

6 Pinpu avarkalil, sathuseyar orupangum pariseyar orupangumaayirukkiraarkalentu pavul arinthu: sakothararae, naan pariseyanutaiya makanumaayirukkiraேn entu saththamittuch sonnaan. But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

7 Avan ippatich sonnapothu, pariseyarukkum sathuseyarukkum vaakkuvaathamunndaayiraraு: koottam iranndaakap pirinthathu. And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.

8 Ennaththinaalental sathuseyar uyirththeluthal illaiyentum, thaevathoothanum aaviyum illaiyentum sollukiraarkal. Pariseyaro avviranndum unndentu oppukkollukiraarkal. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

9 Aakaiyaal mikuntha kookkural unndaayittaு. Pariseya samayaththaaraana vaethapaarakaril silar elunthu: intha manushadaththil oru pollaangaiyum kaannom; oru aavi allathu oru thaevathoothan ivanudanae paesinathunndaanaal, naam thaevanudanae porseyvathu thakaathu entu vaathaatinaarkal. And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.

10 Mikuntha kalakam unndaanapothu, pavul avarkalaal peeraுnndupovaanentu senaapathi payanthu, porchchaேvakar poy, avanai avarkal naduvilirunthu iluththuk kottaைkkuk konndupokumpati kattalaiyittan. And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.

11 Antu iraaththiriyilae Karththar pavulin arukae nintu: pavulae, thidankol; nee ennaikkuriththu erusalaemil saatchikoduththathupola romaavilum saatchikodukkavaenndum entar. And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

12 Vitiyarkaalamaanapothu, yootharil silar orumiththu, thaangal pavulaik kolaiseyyumalavum pusippathumillai kutippathumillaiyentu sapathampannnnikkonndaarkal. And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

13 Ippatik kattuppaadu pannnnikkonndavarkal naarpathupaerukku athikamaayirunthaarkal. And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.

14 Avarkal pirathaana aasaariyarkalidaththilum moopparkalidaththilum poy: naangal pavulaik kolaiseyyumalavum ontum pusippathillaiyentu uraுthiyaana sapathampannnnikkonntoom. And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.

15 Aanapatiyinaal neengal aalosanai sangaththaarotae koodappoy, avanutaiya kaariyaththai athika thittamaay visaarikka manathullavarkalpolach senaapathikkuk kaannpiththu, avar naalaikku avanai ungalidaththil koottikkonnduvarumpati avaridaththil kaetpeerkalaaka. Avan kittavarukiratharkullae naangal avanaik kolaiseyya aayaththamaayiruppom entarkal. Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.

16 Inthach sarppanaiyaip pavulinutaiya sakothariyin kumaaran kaelvippattu, kottaைkkullae poy, pavulukku ariviththaan. And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.

17 Appoluthu pavul noottaுkku athipathikalil oruvanai alaiththu, intha vaalipanaich senaapathiyinidaththirkuk koottikkonndupom; avaridaththil ivan arivikkavaenntiya oru kaariyamunndu entan. Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.

18 Anthappatiyae avan ivanaich senaapathiyinidaththirkuk koottikkonndupoy kaavalil vaikkappattirukkira pavul ennai alaiththu, umakkoru kaariyaththaich sollavaenndumentirukkira intha vaalipanai ummidaththirkuk konndupokumpati ennaik kaettukkonndaan entan. So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.

19 Appoluthu senaapathi avanutaiya kaiyaip pitiththuth thaniyae alaiththukkonndupoy: nee ennidaththil arivikkavaenntiya kaariyam ennaventu kaettan. Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me?

20 Atharku avan: yootharkal pavulin kaariyaththai athika thittamaay visaarikkamanathullavarkalpola, neer naalaikku avanai aalosanai sangaththaaridaththil konnduvarumpati ummai vaenntikkolla udanpattirukkiraarkal. And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.

21 Neer avarkalukkuch sammathikkavaenndaam; avarkalil naarpathupaerkku athikamaanavarkal avanaik kolaiseyyumalavum thaangal pusippathumillai kutippathumillaiyentu sapathampannnnikkonndu, avanukkup pathivirunthu, ummutaiya uththaravukkaaka ippoluthu kaaththukkonndu aayaththamaayirukkiraarkal entan. But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.

22 Appoluthu senaapathi: nee ivaikalai enakku ariviththaaka oruvarukkunj sollaathae entu kattalaiyittu, vaalipanai anuppivittan. So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.

23 Pinpu avan noottaுkku athipathikalil iranndupaerai alaiththu, sesariyaapattanaththirkup pokumpati irunooraு kaalaatkalaiyum, elupathu kuthiraiveeraraiyum, irunooraு eettikkaararaiyum, iraaththiriyil moontammanni vaelaiyilae, aayaththampannnungalentum; And he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;

24 Pavulai aetti, thaesaathipathiyaakiya paeliksidaththirkup paththiramaayk konndupokumpatikkuk kuthiraikalai aayaththappaduththungalentum sonnathumanti, And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.

25 Oru nirupaththaiyum eluthinaan; athin vivaramaavathu: And he wrote a letter after this manner:

26 Kanamporunthiya thaesaathipathiyaakiya paeliks enpavarukkuk kilavuthiyu leesiyaa vaalththuthal solli arivikkirathu ennavental: Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting.

27 Intha manushanai yoothar pitiththukkolaiseyyappokira samayaththil, naan porchchaேvakarotae koodappoy, ivan romanentu arinthu, ivanai viduviththaen. This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.

28 Avarkal ivanmael saattina kuttaththai naan ariyavaenndumentu ivanai avarkal aalosanai sangaththukkumun konnduponaen. And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council:

29 Ivan avarkalutaiya vaethaththirkaduththa vishayangalaikkuriththuk kuttanjaattappattavanentu vilanginathaeyallaamal, maranaththukkaavathu vilangukkaavathu aetta kuttam yaathontum ivanidaththil illaiyentu kanndarinthaen. Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds.
