கபடநாவே, உனக்கு என்ன கிடைக்கும்? உனக்கு என்ன செய்யப்படும்?

உன் கால் வெறுங்காலாகாதபடிக்கும், உன் தொண்டை வறட்சியடையாதபடிக்கும் அடக்கிக்கொள் என்றால், நீ: அது கூடாதகாரியம்; நான் அப்படிச் செய்யமாட்டேன்; அந்நியரை நேசிக்கிறேன்; அவர்கள் பிறகே போவேன் என்கிறாய்.

யூதாவே, விக்கிரகங்களின் பின்னால் ஓடுவதைவிடு! அந்த தெய்வங்களுக்காகத் தாகமாயிருப்பதை நிறுத்து. ஆனால் நீ, ‘இதனால் பயனில்லை என்னால் அமைதியாக இருக்கமுடியாது, அந்த அந்நிய தெய்வங்களை நான் நேசிக்கிறேன், அவற்றை நான் தொழுதுகொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்’ என்கிறாய்.
