ஆகையால் பயமும் திகிலும் உள்ளவன் எவனோ அவன் திரும்பி, கீலேயாத் மலைகளிலிருந்து விரைவாய் ஓடிப்போகக்கடவன் என்று, நீ ஜனங்களின் செவிகள் கேட்கப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்து என்றார்; அப்பொழுது ஜனத்தில் இருபத்தீராயிரம் பேர் திரும்பிப் போய்விட்டார்கள்; பதினாயிரம்பேர் மீதியாயிருந்தார்கள்.

ஆகையால் பயமும் நடுக்கமும் உள்ளவன் எவனோ அவன் திரும்பி, கீலேயாத் மலைகளிலிருந்து வேகமாக ஓடிப்போகட்டும் என்று, நீ மக்களின் காதுகள் கேட்கப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்து என்றார்; அப்பொழுது மக்களில் இருபத்து இரண்டாயிரம்பேர் திரும்பிப் போய்விட்டார்கள்; பத்தாயிரம்பேர் மீதியாக இருந்தார்கள்.

எனவே இப்போது உன் வீரர்களுக்கு இதனை அறிவித்துவிடு. அவர்களிடம், ‘பயப்படுகிற எவனும் கீலேயாத் மலையை விட்டுத் தன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிச் செல்லலாம்’ என்று கூறு” என்றார். அப்போது 22,000 பேர் கிதியோனை விட்டு வீடுகளுக்குத் திரும்பினார்கள். ஆனாலும் 10,000 பேர் மீதி இருந்தனர்.
