இஸ்ரவேலர்களையும் யூத ஜனங்களையும் ஒவ்வொரு தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் மூலமும் ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரர்கள் மூலமும் கர்த்தர் எச்சரித்து வந்தார். கர்த்தர், “நீங்கள் செய்யும் கெட்ட செயல்களில் இருந்து திரும்புங்கள். எனது கட்டளைகளுக்கும் சட்டங்களுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். உங்கள் முற்பி தாக்களுக்கு நான் கொடுத்த சட்டங்களைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள். இச்சட்டங்களை நான் உங்களுக்கு எனது ஊழியக்காரராகிய தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் மூலம் கொடுத்து வந்தேன்” என்றார்.
