அதற்கு அந்த ஸ்திரீ: சவுல் அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் தேசத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமாக்கின செய்தியை நீர் அறிவீரே; என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படி நீர் என் பிராணனுக்குக் கண்ணிவைக்கிறது என்ன என்றாள்.

ஆனால் அந்தப் பெண்ணோ சவுலிடம், “சவுல் என்ன செய்தான் என்று உனக்குத் தெரியும்! அவன் குறி பார்ப்பவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் இஸ்ரவேல் நாட்டை விட்டுத் துரத்திவிட்டான். நீயும் என்னை சூழ்ச்சியின் மூலம் குற்றத்தில் அகப்படுத்தி என்னைக் கொல்லப் பார்க்கிறாய்” என்றாள்.

And the woman הָֽאִשָּׁ֜ה ʾiššâ ee-SHA
unto אֵלָ֗יו ʾēl ale
him, Behold, הִנֵּ֨ה hinnē hee-NAY
thou אַתָּ֤ה ʾattâ ah-TA
knowest יָדַ֙עְתָּ֙ yādaʿ ya-DA
אֵ֣ת ʾēt ate
what אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer uh-SHER
hath done, עָשָׂ֣ה ʿāśâ ah-SA
Saul שָׁא֔וּל šāʾûl sha-OOL
how אֲשֶׁ֥ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
he hath cut off הִכְרִ֛ית kārat ka-RAHT
אֶת ʾēt ate
those that have familiar spirits, הָֽאֹב֥וֹת ʾôb ove
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
and the wizards, הַיִּדְּעֹנִ֖י yiddĕʿōnî yee-deh-oh-NEE
out of מִן min meen
the land: הָאָ֑רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
wherefore וְלָמָ֥ה mâ ma
then layest thou אַתָּ֛ה ʾattâ ah-TA
a snare מִתְנַקֵּ֥שׁ nāqaš na-KAHSH
for my life, בְּנַפְשִׁ֖י nepeš neh-FESH
to cause me to die? לַֽהֲמִיתֵֽנִי׃ mût moot
