மறுநாளிலே சவுல் ஜனங்களை மூன்று படையாக வகுத்து, கிழக்கு வெளுத்துவரும் ஜாமத்தில் பாளயத்திற்குள் வந்து வெயில் ஏறும்வரைக்கும் அம்மோனியரை முறிய அடித்தான்; தப்பினவர்களில் இரண்டுபேராகிலும் சேர்ந்து ஓடிப்போகாதபடி எல்லாரும் சிதறிப் போனார்கள்.
