ఆ దినములలో యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసము అక్కడనే యుండెను.

యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు ఎదుట అతడు నిలువగా అతడు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఊరీము తీర్పువలన అతనికొరకు విచారింపవలెను. అతడును అతనితో కూడ ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును, అనగా సర్వసమాజము అతని మాటచొప్పున తమ సమస్త కార్యములను జరుపుచుండవలెను.

మరియు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు పోయి సాయంకాలమువరకు యెహోవా ఎదుట ఏడ్చుచుమా సహోదరులైన బెన్యా మీనీయులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు తిరిగి పోదుమా? అని యెహోవాయొద్ద విచారణచేయగా యెహోవా వారితో యుద్ధము చేయబోవుడని సెలవిచ్చెను.
