మీరు గోషెను దేశమందు కాపురముండునట్లుమా చిన్నతనమునుండి ఇదివరకు నీ దాసులమైన మేమును మా పూర్వికులును పశువులు గల వారమై యున్నామని ఉత్తరమియ్యుడని చెప్పెను.

ఆ మనుష్యులు పశువులు గలవారు, వారు గొఱ్ఱల కాపరులు. వారు తమ గొఱ్ఱలను పశువులను తమకు కలిగినదంతయు తీసికొనివచ్చిరని అతనితో చెప్పె దను.

ఆ దినమున లాబాను చారయైనను మచ్చ యైనను గల మేకపోతులను, పొడలైనను మచ్చలైనను గల పెంటిమేకలన్నిటిని కొంచెము తెలుపుగల ప్రతిదానిని గొఱ్ఱపిల్లలలో నల్లవాటి నన్నిటిని వేరుచేసి తన కుమారుల చేతి కప్పగించి

తన కుమార్తెను అతడు చెరిపెనని యాకోబు విని, తన కుమారులు పశువు లతో పొలములలో నుండినందున వారు వచ్చువరకు ఊరకుండెను.

నీవు గోషెను దేశమందు నివసించెదవు, అప్పుడు నీవును నీ పిల్లలును నీ పిల్లల పిల్లలును నీ గొఱ్ఱలమందలును నీ పశువు లును నీకు కలిగినది యావత్తును నాకు సమీపముగా నుండును.
