నిర్గమకాండము 12:12
ఆ రాత్రి నేను ఐగుప్తుదేశమందు సంచరించి, ఐగుప్తుదేశమందలి మనుష్యులలోనేగాని జంతు వులలోనేగాని తొలి సంతతియంతయు హతముచేసి, ఐగుప్తు దేవతలకందరికిని తీర్పు తీర్చెదను; నేను యెహో వాను.

| and will smite | וְהִכֵּיתִ֤י | wĕhikkêtî | veh-hee-kay-TEE |
| all | כָל | kāl | hahl |
| firstborn the | בְּכוֹר֙ | bĕkôr | beh-HORE |
| in the land | בְּאֶ֣רֶץ | bĕʾereṣ | beh-EH-rets |
| Egypt, of | מִצְרַ֔יִם | miṣrayim | meets-RA-yeem |
| both man | מֵֽאָדָ֖ם | mēʾādām | may-ah-DAHM |
| and beast; | וְעַד | wĕʿad | veh-AD |
| all against and | בְּהֵמָ֑ה | bĕhēmâ | beh-hay-MA |
| the gods | וּבְכָל | ûbĕkāl | oo-veh-HAHL |
| Egypt of | אֱלֹהֵ֥י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
| I will execute | מִצְרַ֛יִם | miṣrayim | meets-RA-yeem |
| judgment: | אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה | ʾeʿĕśe | eh-ay-SEH |
| I | שְׁפָטִ֖ים | šĕpāṭîm | sheh-fa-TEEM |
| am the Lord. | אֲנִ֥י | ʾănî | uh-NEE |
