మా పితరుల దేవా, నీవు వివేకమును బలమును నాకనుగ్రహించి యున్నావు; మేమడిగిన యీ సంగతి ఇప్పుడు నాకు తెలియజేసియున్నావు గనుక నేను నిన్ను స్తుతించుచు ఘనపరచుచున్నాను; ఏలయనగా రాజుయొక్క సంగతి నీవే మాకు తెలియజేసితివని దానియేలు మరల చెప్పెను.

నీ రాజ్యములో ఒక మనుష్యుడున్నాడు. అతడు పరిశుద్ధ దేవతల ఆత్మగలవాడు; నీ తండ్రికాలములో అతడు దైవజ్ఞానమువంటి జ్ఞానమును బుద్ధియు తెలివియు గలవాడై యుండుట నీ తండ్రి కనుగొనెను గనుక నీ తండ్రియైన రాజగు నెబుకద్నెజరు శకున గాండ్రకును గారడీవిద్యగల వారికిని కల్దీయులకును జ్యోతిష్యులకును పై యధిపతిగా అతని నియమించెను.

మీలో ఎవనికైనను జ్ఞానము కొదువగా ఉన్నయెడల అతడు దేవుని అడుగవలెను, అప్పుడది అతనికి అనుగ్ర హింపబడును. ఆయన ఎవనిని గద్దింపక అందరికిని ధారాళముగ దయచేయువాడు.
