Revelation 17:8
నీవు చూచిన ఆ మృగము ఉండెను గాని యిప్పుడు లేదు; అయితే అది అగాధ జలములోనుండి పైకి వచ్చుటకును నాశనమునకు పోవుటకును సిద్ధముగా ఉన్నది. భూనివాసులలో జగ దుత్పత్తి మొదలుకొని జీవగ్రంథమందు ఎవరి పేరు వ్రాయబడలేదో వారు, ఆ మృగముండెను గాని యిప్పుడు లేదు అయితే ముందుకు వచ్చునన్న సంగతి తెలిసికొని అశ్చర్యపడుదురు.

పిమ్మట రాత్రియందు నాకు దర్శనములు కలిగినప్పుడు నేను చూచుచుండగా, ఘోరమును భయం కరమునగు నాలుగవ జంతువొకటి కనబడెను. అది తనకు ముందుగా నుండిన యితర జంతువులకు భిన్నమైనది; అది మహాబల మహాత్త్యములు గలది; దానికి పెద్ద ఇనుప దంతములును పది కొమ్ములు నుండెను. అది సమస్తమును భక్షించుచు తుత్తునియలుగా చేయుచు మిగిలినదానిని కాళ్లక్రింద అణగద్రొక్కుచుండెను.
