ఇశ్రా యేలీయులు ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా వారితో నిబంధన చేయగా మోషే తాను హోరేబునందు ఆ పలకలను మందసములో ఉంచెను. దానిలో ఆ రెండు రాతిపలకలు తప్ప మరి ఏమియు లేక పోయెను.
