​యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మాట ఆలకించి ఆ కానానీయులను అప్పగింపగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వారిని వారి పట్టణములను నిర్మూలము చేసిరి. అందువలన ఆ చోటికి హోర్మా అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.
