అయితే అచ్చటచ్చటనుండు సేనల యధిపతులందరును వారి పటాలపువారును, బబులోనురాజు అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను దేశముమీద అధికారిగా నియమించి, బబులోనునకు చెరగొని పోబడక నిలిచినవారిలో స్త్రీలను పురుషులను పిల్లలను, దేశములోని అతినీరసులైన దరిద్రులను అతనికి అప్పగించెనని వినిరి.
