తరువాత అతని సహోదరుడు బయటికి వచ్చి నప్పుడు అతని చెయ్యి ఏశావు మడిమెను పట్టుకొని యుండెను గనుక అతనికి యాకోబు అను పేరు పెట్ట బడెను. ఆమె వారిని కనినప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు అరువదియేండ్లవాడు.
