Exodus 22:14
ఒకడు తన పొరుగువానియొద్ద దేనినైనను బదులు దీసి కొనిపోగా దాని యజమానుడు దానియొద్ద లేనప్పుడు, అది హానిపొందినను చచ్చినను దాని నష్టమును అచ్చుకొన వలెను.

| borrow | אִ֛ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| ought of | מֵעִ֥ם | mēʿim | may-EEM |
| neighbour, his | רֵעֵ֖הוּ | rēʿēhû | ray-A-hoo |
| and it be hurt, | וְנִשְׁבַּ֣ר | wĕnišbar | veh-neesh-BAHR |
| or | אוֹ | ʾô | oh |
| die, | מֵ֑ת | mēt | mate |
| the owner | בְּעָלָ֥יו | bĕʿālāyw | beh-ah-LAV |
| thereof being not | אֵין | ʾên | ane |
| it, with | עִמּ֖וֹ | ʿimmô | EE-moh |
| he shall surely | שַׁלֵּ֥ם | šallēm | sha-LAME |
| make it good. | יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ | yĕšallēm | yeh-sha-LAME |
