Esther 4:16
నీవు పోయి షూషనునందు కనబడిన యూదులనందరిని సమాజమందిరమునకు సమకూర్చి, నా నిమిత్తము ఉపవాసముండి మూడు దినములు అన్న పానములు చేయకుండుడి; నేనును నా పని కత్తెలును కూడ ఉపవాసముందుము; ప్రవేశించుట న్యాయ వ్యతిరిక్తముగా నున్నను నేను రాజునొద్దకు ప్రవేశించుదును; నేను నశించిన నశించెదను.

| nor | וְאַל | wĕʾal | veh-AL |
| drink | תִּשְׁתּ֜וּ | tištû | teesh-TOO |
| three | שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת | šĕlōšet | sheh-LOH-shet |
| days, | יָמִים֙ | yāmîm | ya-MEEM |
| night | לַ֣יְלָה | laylâ | LA-la |
| or day: | וָי֔וֹם | wāyôm | va-YOME |
