Ecclesiastes 2:11
అప్పుడు నేను చేసిన పనులన్నియు, వాటికొరకై నేను పడిన ప్రయాసమంతయు నేను నిదానించి వివేచింపగా అవన్నియు వ్యర్థమైనవిగాను ఒకడు గాలికి ప్రయాసపడినట్టుగాను అగుపడెను, సూర్యుని క్రింద లాభకరమైనదేదియు లేనట్టు నాకు కనబడెను.

| and on the labour | וּבֶֽעָמָ֖ל | ûbeʿāmāl | oo-veh-ah-MAHL |
| laboured had I that | שֶׁעָמַ֣לְתִּי | šeʿāmaltî | sheh-ah-MAHL-tee |
| to do: | לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת | laʿăśôt | la-uh-SOTE |
| behold, and, | וְהִנֵּ֨ה | wĕhinnē | veh-hee-NAY |
| all | הַכֹּ֥ל | hakkōl | ha-KOLE |
| was vanity | הֶ֙בֶל֙ | hebel | HEH-VEL |
| vexation and | וּרְע֣וּת | ûrĕʿût | oo-reh-OOT |
| of spirit, | ר֔וּחַ | rûaḥ | ROO-ak |
| no was there and | וְאֵ֥ין | wĕʾên | veh-ANE |
| profit | יִתְר֖וֹן | yitrôn | yeet-RONE |
| under | תַּ֥חַת | taḥat | TA-haht |
| the sun. | הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ | haššāmeš | ha-SHA-mesh |
