Deuteronomy 21:16
జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడు ద్వేషింపబడినదాని కొడుకైన యెడల, తండ్రి తనకు కలిగినదానిని తన కుమారులకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చునాడు ద్వేషింపబడినదాని కుమారుడైన జ్యేష్ఠునికి మారుగా ప్రేమింపబడినదాని కుమారుని జ్యేష్ఠునిగా చేయకూడదు.

maketh he | הַנְחִיל֣וֹ | hanḥîlô | hahn-hee-LOH |
| his sons | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| inherit to | בָּנָ֔יו | bānāyw | ba-NAV |
| אֵ֥ת | ʾēt | ate | |
| that which | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| he hath, | יִֽהְיֶ֖ה | yihĕye | yee-heh-YEH |
| that he may | ל֑וֹ | lô | loh |
| not | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| make | יוּכַ֗ל | yûkal | yoo-HAHL |
| the son | לְבַכֵּר֙ | lĕbakkēr | leh-va-KARE |
| beloved the of | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| firstborn | בֶּן | ben | ben |
| before | הָ֣אֲהוּבָ֔ה | hāʾăhûbâ | HA-uh-hoo-VA |
| עַל | ʿal | al | |
| son the | פְּנֵ֥י | pĕnê | peh-NAY |
| of the hated, | בֶן | ben | ven |
| which is indeed the firstborn: | הַשְּׂנוּאָ֖ה | haśśĕnûʾâ | ha-seh-noo-AH |
| הַבְּכֹֽר׃ | habbĕkōr | ha-beh-HORE |
