అప్పుడు పట్టణపు గుమ్మమునొద్ద నలుగురు కుష్ఠరోగు లుండగా వారు ఒకరినొకరు చూచిమనము చచ్చిపోవు వరకు ఇచ్చట ఎందుకు కూర్చుండవలెను?

రాజు దైవజనుని పనివాడగు గేహజీతో మాట లాడిఎలీషా చేసిన గొప్ప కార్యములన్నిటిని నాకు తెలియజెప్పుమని ఆజ్ఞనిచ్చి యుండెను.
Jeremiah 8:14
మనమేల కూర్చుండియున్నాము? మనము పోగు బడి ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములలోనికి పోదము, అక్క డనే చచ్చిపోదము రండి; యెహోవాయే మనలను నాశనము చేయుచున్నాడు, ఆయనకు విరోధముగా మనము పాపము చేసినందున మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా మనకు విషజలమును త్రాగించుచున్నాడు.
Jeremiah 27:13
బబులోనురాజునకు దాసులుకానొల్లని జనులవిషయమై యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చినట్లు ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను తెగులు చేతనైనను నీవును నీ ప్రజలును చావనేల?
