யாத்திராகமம் 32:12
மலைகளில் அவர்களைக் கொன்று போடவும், பூமியின்மேல் இராதபடிக்கு அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கவும், அவர்களுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யும்பொருட்டே அவர்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணினார் என்று எகிப்தியர் சொல்லுவானேன்? உம்முடைய கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்பி, உமது ஜனங்களுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யாதபடிக்கு, அவர்கள்மேல் பரிதாபங்கொள்ளும்.

மலைகளில் அவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோடவும், பூமியின்மேல் இல்லாதபடி அவர்களை அழிக்கவும், அவர்களுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்வதற்காகவே அவர்களைப் புறப்படச்செய்தார் என்று எகிப்தியர்கள் சொல்லுவானேன்? உம்முடைய கடுங்கோபத்தைவிட்டுத் திரும்பி, உமது மக்களுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யாதபடி, அவர்கள்மேல் பரிதாபம்கொள்ளும்.

ஆனால் நீர் உமது ஜனங்களை அழித்துவிட்டால் எகிப்தியர்கள், ‘கர்த்தர் அந்த ஜனங்களுக்குத் தீமை செய்யத் திட்டமிட்டார். எனவே அவர்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துச் சென்றார். அவர்களை மலைகளில் கொல்ல விரும்பினார். அவர்களைப் பூமியிலிருந்து நிர்மூலமாக்க எண்ணினார், என்று சொல்வார்கள்.’ எனவே, உமது ஜனங்களிடம் கோபம் கொள்ளாதிரும். உமது எண்ணத்தை மாற்றிக்கொள்ளும்! உமது ஜனங்களை அழித்துவிடாதிரும்.
