ਫ਼ਿਰ ਬੈਤ-ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਜੋ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੋਤਾ ਤੇ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨੁਕਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਤੀਕ 600 ਫੁੱਟ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨੇਜੇਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਬਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਂਮੋਨ ਤੀਕ ਅਗਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ (ਨੁਕਰ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ) ਤੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਹਨਨੇਲ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਚੁਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਤੀਕ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਨਵਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ, “ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ-ਹਨਨੇਲ ਦੇ ਮੀਨਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨੁਕਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੀਕ।

ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਉਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਆਇਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਨੇਰੇ ’ਚ ਹੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ। ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੁੜ ਆਇਆ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 2:13
ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ, ਮੈਂ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਅਜਗਰ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕੂੜੇ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਇਉਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਢਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਆਇਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੜ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
