ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਹੇਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦਾ।

ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਜੇ ਘਰ ਉਸਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਕਤ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤਾਂ ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਕਤ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ 3,000 ਰੱਥ ਅਤੇ 6,000 ਘੁੜ-ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਇੰਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਕਣ ਹੋਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਕਮਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾਇਆ। (ਮਿਕਮਾਸ਼ ਬੈਤਆਵਨ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਹੈ।)
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 6:3
ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ, ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਆਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਸੀਸਰਾ ਕੋਲ 900 ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ ਰੱਥ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ 20 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਤਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਸੋਪੋਤਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੂਸ਼ਨ ਰਿਸ਼ਾਤੈਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰੇ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਠ ਸਾਲ ਰਹੇ।
