ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਨੋਨ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯੱਬੋਕ ਨਦੀ ਤੱਕ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਲੈ ਲਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੰਮੋਨ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਲੈ ਲਈ। ਸਰਹੱਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਕੇ ਉਹ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਸਖਤ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਸੀ।

ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨੀ “‘ਅਰਨੋਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਅਮੋਰੀ, ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਉ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਝਾ ਦੇਵੋ।
