Genesis 33:3
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਖੁਦ ਏਸਾਓ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਵੱਲ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਸਿਜਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਮਿਸਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਰੀ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕ ਗਏ।

ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਘਰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਆਏ ਸਨ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 18:2
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖਲੋਤਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

“ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਜੜੀ ਹਾਂ। ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਜੜੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 10:4
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਸੀ, ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੁੱਖ ਕੱਟੀ ਹੈ ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰਨ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਔਰਤ ਬੱਚੇ ਨਾ ਜਣ ਸੱਕੀ ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਸੱਤ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਔਰਤ ਕੋਲ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ ਹੁਣ ਉਦਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੈ।
