ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਫਾਰਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਣ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੀਕ ਵੀ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ।
