ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਨਾਓਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਹੁਣ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ।” ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਓਬੇਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਉਬੇਦ ਯੱਸੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯੱਸੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
