Psalm 49:11
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ-ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਘਰ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੋਣ।

Psalm 5:9
ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਝੂਠੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਮਰੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਖਾਲੀ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਉਂਤਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਅਜੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ, ਖੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਥੰਮ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਰਹੇ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਉਸ ਥੰਮ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅੱਜ ਤੀਕ ਉਹ ਥੰਮ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ “ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਦੀ ਮੜ੍ਹੀ” ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
1 Samuel 15:12
ਸਮੂਏਲ ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਜਲਦੀ-ਜਲਦੀ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ, “ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕਰਮਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਲਈ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਕਈ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਘੁੰਮਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।” ਤਾਂ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਅਖੀਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਅਜੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੀ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ,
