ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਖਿੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਝਾਕਿਆ।

ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਮੀਕਲ ਬਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੱਚਦਾ-ਟੱਪਦਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਹਰਕਤ ਤੇ ਬੜੀ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਪਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਆਪ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
