ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋ। ਉਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ! ਵੇਖ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਉਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੀਂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੀਂ! ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੀ। ਉਹ ਨਜ਼ੀਰੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਸੋਮਰਸ ਜਾਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲ ਮੁੰਨੇਗਾ।”

1 Samuel 1:28
ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਬੱਚਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਣ ਆਈ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।” ਤਦ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੀ।
