1 ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ।
2 ਰੀਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਚੁੰਮਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੰਮੇ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨਾਲੋਂ।
3 ਤੇਰਾ ਅਤਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਡੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਵਾਨ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
4 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈ, ਆਪਾਂ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਈਏ! ਰਾਜਾ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਾਂਗੀਆਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ। ਆਪਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੀ, ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨਾਲੋਂ। ਕੋਈ ਅਜੂਬਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਕਰਨ ਜਵਾਨ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ।
5 ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਓ ਧੀਓ, ਮੈਂ ਸਾਂਵਲੀ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ, ਸਾਂਵਲੀ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੇਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ।
6 ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈ ਸਾਂਵਲੀ ਹਾਂ, ਸੂਰਜ ਨੇ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਸਾਂਵਲੀ ਹੈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੁੱਸੇ ਸਨ ਭਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ। ਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਲਾਇਆ ਕੰਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ। ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ।
7 ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਰਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰੂਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ। ਦੱਸੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ; ਕਿਬੇ ਚਾਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ? ਕਿਬੇ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰੇ? ਮੈਂ ਇੱਧਰ-ਉੱਧਰ ਘੁੰਮ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਘੁੰਡ ਕੱਢੀ ਹੋਈ ਔਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਜੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੱਭਾਂ?
8 ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੈਂ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਲੱਭਣਾ, ਐਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ। ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਆਜੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਲਾਗੇ ਚਾਰੋ।
9 ਮੇਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ, ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਲੁਭਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚਲੀ ਘੋੜੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਰੱਥ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਨੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਰਦਣਾਂ ਦੁਆਲੇ।
10 ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਝੁਮਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਮਣਕਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਡੋਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੈ।
11 ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਜਾਵਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਝੁਮਕੇ ਬਣਾਵਾਗੇ।
12 ਉਹ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੋਫ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਉਸ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
13 ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਗੰਧਰਸ ਦੀ ਪੁੜੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ।
14 ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਹਿਨਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਛਿਆਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਉਗਦੇ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਏਨ-ਗਦੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੀਚਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ।
15 ਉਹ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਿੰਨੀ: ਆਹੋ ਤੂੰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈਂ। ਘੁੱਗੀ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ।
16 ਉਹ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਛਬੀਲੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮੇਰੇ! ਹਾਂ, ਕਿੰਨੇ ਮਨਮੋਹਣੇ! ਸਾਡੀ ਸੇਜ਼ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਤਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੈ।
17 ਦਿਉਦਾਰ ਹਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਛਤੀਰ ਤੇ, ਫਰ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਛੱਤ।

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents.
9 I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh’s chariots.
10 Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.
11 We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.
12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
13 A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
14 My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of En-gedi.
15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.
16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.
17 The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.

1 ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ।
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸੱਖਣੀ ਸੀ; ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਸੀ।
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਨ-ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ!” ਅਤੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਚਮਕਣ ਲੱਗੀ।
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ।
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਨੂੰ “ਦਿਨ” ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ “ਰਾਤ” ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ। ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ।
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 ਦੂਸਰਾ ਦਿਨ-ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਯੂਮੰਡਲ ਹੋਵੇ!”
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵਾਯੂਮੰਡਲ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਯੂਮੰਡਲ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਯੂਮੰਡਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹਵਾ ਨੂੰ “ਅਕਾਸ਼” ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ। ਇਹ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ।
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 ਤੀਸਰਾ ਦਿਨ-ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਲਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਇੱਕ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਵੇ।” ਇਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ “ਧਰਤੀ” ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ “ਸਮੁੰਦਰ” ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ।
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਧਰਤੀ ਘਾਹ ਤੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਉਗਾਵੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਫ਼ਲਦਾਰ ਰੁੱਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉੱਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬੀਜ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ। ਇਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।”
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 ਧਰਤੀ ਨੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਘਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਉਗਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਉਗਾਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਸਨ। ਹਰ ਪੌਦੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਬੀਜ ਬਣਾਏ। ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ।
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਤੀਸਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ।
And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 ਚੌਥਾ ਦਿਨ-ਸੂਰਜ ਚੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਰਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ। ਇਹ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਪਰਬਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਹੋਣ।
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 ਇਹ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਚਮਕਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।” ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਸਾਜੀਆਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੋਟੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਜੇ।
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਮਕਣ ਲਈ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਨੂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ।
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ। ਇਹ ਚੌਥਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ।
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜੀਵ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਾਯੂਮੰਡਲ ਦੇ ਆਰ-ਪਾਰ ਪੰਛੀ ਉੱਡਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ।”
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਚਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ।
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪੰਛੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ।
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ। ਇਹ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ।
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 ਛੇਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ-ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਧਰਤੀ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰੇ। ਇੱਥੇ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਅਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਹੋਣ।” ਇਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ।
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਓ ਹੁਣ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਣਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਕਲ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਜਾਂਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨਗੇ।”
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਜਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਿਕ ਸਾਜਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਜਿਆ।
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰੋ। ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੋ। ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਫ਼ਿਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੋ।”
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਨਾਜ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਪੌਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਫ਼ਲਦਾਰ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਅਨਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਹਰੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਹਰੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲਾ ਹਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚਲਾ ਹਰ ਪੰਛੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜੀਵ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣਗੇ।” ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਂਆਂ ਗੱਲਾ ਵਾਪਰ ਗਈਆਂ।
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਜੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ। ਇਹ ਛੇਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ।
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
