Psalm 55:3
ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਬਦਚਲਣ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੀਕਿਆ। ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ: ਉਹ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਦੀਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਕੁਚਲ ਦੇਵੇ।

ਉਹ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਤਕੜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਗਵਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਲੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਣ ਲਈ ਵਿਉਂਤਾਂ ਘੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਐਸੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਾਤਕ ਫ਼ੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਫ਼ਸਣ ਦੇਵੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੂਠੀਆਂ ਗਵਾਹੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਹਮਲੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬਚਾਵੋ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੇਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ, “ਬੁਰੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਗਰੀਬੜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਬੇਸਹਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ ਲੁੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥੱਕਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਖਲੋਵਾਂਗਾ।”

ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਤਦ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ, “ਵੇਖ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਕਹਿਨਾ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।”
