Psalm 17:12
ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੁਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਉਹ ਬੁਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਕੜੇ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮਸੱਕੀਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਔਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਾਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨਣ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
੧ ਪਤਰਸ 5:8
ਖੁਦ ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਰੱਖੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ। ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ, ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਗੱਜਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਚਾਰ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਘੁੰਮਦਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
