1 ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ? ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿਉ।

2 ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ, ਜੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ?

4 ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਂਗ ਰੋੜ੍ਹ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਾਂਗ ਡੋਬ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ।

5 ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡੀ ਧੌਣ ਤੱਕ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਡੋਬ ਦਿੰਦੇ।

6 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

7 ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਪੰਛੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਛੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ। ਜਾਲ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਛੁੱਟ ਗਏ।

8 ਸਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਮਿਲੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ।
