“ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ: ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੋਂਗੇ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 1:7
ਉਸ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਓ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਓ। ਯਰਦਨ ਵਾਦੀ, ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਪੱਛਮੀ ਢਲਾਵਾਂ, ਨਿਜੀਵ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਤੱਟ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਓ। ਕਨਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਹਾਂਨਦੀ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਤੀਕ ਜਾਓ।
੧ ਪਤਰਸ 1:3
ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਆਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੋਵੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਵੀਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਣ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਆਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ।
ਅਫ਼ਸੀਆਂ 1:18
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕੇ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਵੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਮਈ ਹਨ।
ਅਫ਼ਸੀਆਂ 1:14
ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਭ ਕਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਹੈ।

ਤੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਉਜਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤਣਗੇ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ।’”

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਆਦਮ, ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਾਬਰ-ਬਰਾਬਰ ਵੰਡੋਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 3:19
ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ, ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਜਿਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।’ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ‘ਪਿਤਾ’ ਆਖਕੇ ਸਦ੍ਦੋਁਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਨੁਯਾਈ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ!” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੱਕ ਕੀਤੀ।

“ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸ: ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਰ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 15:16
ਚਾਰ ਪੀੜੀਆਂ ਬਾਦ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਲੇ ਇਨੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀ ਹੋਣ।”
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 13:15
ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਹੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।

ਅਬਰਾਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੀਕ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੋਹਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
