ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਾਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ।

ਜਾਸੂਸ ਕਨਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਸਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨੀ। ਅਸਾਂ ਹੇਰੋਬ ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ ਬਰਨੇਆ ਆ ਗਏ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 9:23
ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਾਦੇਸ਼-ਬਰਨੇਆ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।’ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ।

“ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ, ਹਰੇਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ।
