ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਾਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਇਹ ਰਿਵਾਜ਼ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਚਾਹੁਣ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਸ ਕੈਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
