ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਆਖਣਗੇ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗੇ।” ਪਰ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।” ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਲੋਕ ਅਦੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੇਸ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਨਫਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
