ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ। ਡੇਰਾ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਆਦਮੀ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਦੇਸ਼ੋਂ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।”
