ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਧ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ। ਜਾਜਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਖਲੋ ਕੇ ਉਡੀਕਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
