ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਕੁਝ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਕਟਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਹਲੋਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਛੱਡਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਪਰ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ।

ਨਾਓਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਥ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਦੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈਆਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਓਮੀ ਹੈ?”
