ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 13:3
ਤੂੰ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚਲੀ ਸ਼ੀਹੋਰ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਕਰੋਨ ਦੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਹੋਰ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹਾਲੇ ਰਾਜਾ, ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ, ਅਸ਼ਕਲੋਨ, ਗਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਵੇ।

யோசேப்பின் ஜனங்கள், “எங்களுக்கு எப்பிராயீமின் மலைநாடு போதுமான அளவு பெரியது அல்ல. ஆனால் அங்கு வாழும் கானானியரிடம் ஆற்றல் வாய்ந்த போர்க்கருவிகள் உள்ளன. அவர்களிடம் இரும்பாலாகிய தேர்கள் இருக்கின்றன! அந்த ஜனங்களே பள்ளத்தாக்கிலும் அதிகாரம் செலுத்துகின்றனர்! யெஸ்ரேயேல் பள்ளத்தாக்கு, பெத்செயான், அங்குள்ள சிறிய ஊர்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் அதிகாரமும் அவர்களிடமே உள்ளது” என்றார்கள்.
