Jeremiah 6:3
ਅਯਾਲੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਹਰ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਲੇ, ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ, ਮੋਆਬ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੱਥੇ ਭੇਜੇ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ, ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ, ਦੇ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।

ਹੁਣ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਆ ਸੱਕਣ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਬਣਾਈ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 4:16
“ਇਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਇਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੋ। ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਫ਼ੈਲਾ ਦਿਓ। ਇੱਕ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਨਾਰੇ ਮਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 12:10
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਯਾਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਯਾਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਬੂਟਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਿਤਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਯਾਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਖੇਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 39:1
ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਤਨ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਹੋਇਆ: ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਕਾਲ ਦੇ 9ਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ 10ਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਨਾ ਹੋਮ 3:18
ਹੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਤੇਰੇ ਆਜੜੀ (ਆਗੂ) ਵੀ ਘੂਕ ਸੁਤ੍ਤੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲੰਮੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ (ਉੱਮਤਾਂ) ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਖਿਲਰੀਆਂ-ਵਿੱਚਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਵੇ।
