Jeremiah 48:46
ਮੋਆਬ, ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ। ਤੇਰੇ ਧੀਆਂ-ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਦੂਰ ਲਿਜਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ!

ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ, ਮੋਆਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਘ੍ਰਿਣਾਯੋਗ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਘ੍ਰਿਣਾਯੋਗ ਬੁੱਤ, ਮੋਲਕ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਸੀ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 48:7
“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 48:13
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਕਾਰਣ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਤ-ੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ (ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਨਮੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੋਆਬ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਵਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿਦੋਨ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਸ਼ਤਾਰੋਥ, ਅਤੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਕੋਮ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ। ਪਰ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
