ਹੋ ਸੀਅ 2

1 “ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੋ’ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ, ‘ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।’”

2 “ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰੋ! ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਹਾਂ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਵਤੀਰਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਆਖੋ।

3 ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕੇਗੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਨੰਗੀ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਨਮੀ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵਾਂਗ, ਸੁੱਕੀ ਬੰਜਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।

4 ਮੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਤ੍ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਤਰਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੇਸਵਾਈ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ।

5 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਸਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਵਤੀਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਮਗਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਢੱਕਣ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਨ ਤੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਵੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।’

6 “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ) ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ (ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀਆਂ) ਸੜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਕ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਧ ਉਸਾਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਹ ਲੱਭਣ ਦੇ ਅਸਮਰੱਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

7 ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਮਗਰ ਭੱਜੇਗੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰੱਬ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲੇਗੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇਗੀ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਕਹੇਗੀ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪਤੀ (ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ) ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਹੁਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਚਂਗੇਰੀ ਸੀ।’

8 “ਉਹ (ਇਸਰਾਏਲ) ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ) ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ-ਦਾਣੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਬਖਸ਼ੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ-ਸੋਨਾ ਵੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ।

9 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਤਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ ਫਸਲ ਵਾਢੀ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੈਅ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਨਨ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨੰਗੇਜ਼ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।

10 ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਲਾਹ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੰਗੀ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵੇਖ ਲੈਣ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

11 ਮੈਂ (ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੌਜ-ਮਸਤੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਪਰਬ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਮਸਿਆਵਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ-ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਾਸ ਪਰਬ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।

12 ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰੱਖਤ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ।’ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ’ਚ ਮੋੜ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਕੇ ਖਾਣਗੇ।

13 “ਉਸਨੇ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਧੂਪਾਂ ਜਲਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਜ ਕੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੱਬ ਪਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ।

14 “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਹ ਭਿੱਜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਮਲ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।

15 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਮੀਦ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਕੋਰ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਉਵੇਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।”

16 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ’ ਆਖੇਁਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਬਆਲ’ ਨਾ ਕਹੇਂਗੀ।”

17 ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਹਟਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਲੋਕ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਨਗੇ।

18 “ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਖਾਤਰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਦੇ ਜੰਤੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਧਨੁੱਖ, ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗੀ ਹਬਿਆਰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਹਬਿਆਰ ਨਾ ਬਚੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਸੱਕਣ।

19 ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ) ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਾੜੀ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਚਂਗਾਈ, ਭਲਾਈ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਾਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਾੜੀ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

20 ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੇਂਗੀ।

21 ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਵੇਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਵੇਗਾ।

22 ਧਰਤੀ ਅੰਨ, ਮੈਅ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਪੂਰਨਗੇ।

23 ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ’ਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਬੀਜ਼ ਬੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਲੋ-ਰੂਹਾਮਾਹ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋ-ਅੰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੋ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ।’”

1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.

2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.

4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.

5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.

6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the Lord.

14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.

15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

16 And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.

17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;

22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
