ਹਬਕੋਕ 2:1
“ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਡੀਕਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਡੀਕਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।”

| see to | לִרְאוֹת֙ | lirʾôt | leer-OTE |
| what | מַה | ma | ma |
| he will say | יְדַבֶּר | yĕdabber | yeh-da-BER |
| what and me, unto | בִּ֔י | bî | bee |
| I shall answer | וּמָ֥ה | ûmâ | oo-MA |
| when | אָשִׁ֖יב | ʾāšîb | ah-SHEEV |
| I am reproved. | עַל | ʿal | al |
